THE SHOW DID GO ON !!
Drewitts Events like many other outdoor activity Companies have been severely restricted and most engagements cancelled. However some shows have been achieved and our thanks to those organisers who have worked so hard to keep both performers and audience safe whilst complying with Government restrictions at this difficult time.
Notably that great survivor “Mr.Punch” has seen so many set backs since he was seen and documented by Samuel Pepys in his diary in May 1662 having spotted him in Covent Garden, London, this was two years after Charles II came to the English Throne. “Mr.Punch” obviously survived Oliver Cromwell who banned entertainment and cancelled Christmas !! “Mr.Punch” has gone on to survive the Great Plaque, The Great Fire of London and more recently two World Wars.

"The festival was a great success with in the region of 8-10,000 visitors during the course of the day. As you can see from these photographs Christopher's Punch and Judy shows proved very popular with our younger visitor's during the day. On behalf of The N21 Committee I would just like to thank Christopher for agreeing to perform at our event and wish Pauline's Puppets every success for the rest of the year and preserving this very traditional children's entertainment for future generations."
